Congratulations to Amabile Alumni Jonny Wexler who plays Joe Pesci in the production of Jersey Boys. During the recent tour stop at Budweiser Gardens, the Central-grad said Pesci brought the four singers together early in his career, providing that pivotal moment when the audience sees the four vocalists as “The Four Seasons.”
Jon was an Amabile chorister, prior to joining Original Kids’ Theatre Company. He doesn’t look like this any longer – Jon recently celebrated his 30th birthday! And has a pretty impressive resume: after stops on La Jolla Playhouse and Stratford Festival stages, and with over 600 shows as Moe Doodlebop on television and on stages around the world, Wexler came home for the Jersey Boy run at Budweiser Gardens – their first arena show on the tour. Not sure, but Jon may have sung at the official opening of that arena in 2022.
After London, the tour hops all over the USA and winds up in Winnipeg in May, before heading to Japan for an 11 day run.
Wexler now lives in California and if you’ve looked at the snow outside your front door, you’ll understand why.
