Led by some of Canada’s finest choral conductors, the Ontario Youth Choir is widely praised for its choral excellence and innovative and adventurous programming.

This year’s conductor is Bob Anderson, who was a member of the Ontario Youth Choir from its inaugural year in 1971 through to 1976. He holds Bachelor of Music and Education Degrees from the University of Western Ontario, where he studied choral conducting with Deral Johnson, and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati. He performed with the Elmer Iseler Singers for four seasons, and his choral arrangements and compositions are published with several Canadian publishers. He has taught vocal and instrumental music in the Peel District School Board since 1991.
OYC is an unforgettable experience; fun and friendship for the singers, and extraordinary training with skilled professionals. There are now over 1,300 OYC alumni who continue to enrich their communities as choristers, conductors, accompanists, composers, educators and soloists. Ontario Youth Choir is proudly supported by Choirs Ontario
