Amabile Sings at the World Figure Skating Championships

The Amabile Choirs of London Canada were thrilled to be involved in the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships®. The Amabile Young Women’s Ensemble sang live, the national anthems of the gold medalists in each of the four competition categories. The medal ceremonies took place on March 15 & 16 at Budweiser Gardens, London, Canada.

  1. It was very touching to see you sing our national anthem after Yuna Kim won the gold medal today. I was so surprised to hear it sung by a non-Korean choir. It must be a lot of work to make it sound so perfect and beautiful.
    Thank you very much!

I think it would be predicted to do very hard work… and I just wanna say thankyou all…

  4. What a lovely touch to have the anthems of the gold medalists sung live by a beautiful choir as opposed to recorded music. I don’t recall this ever being done at a world championship before so kudos to the choir and the city of London for putting on a wonderful competition! It’s little details like this that made the week special for everyone. Congratulations to all the choir members on a job well done! You should feel very proud.

  10. Hi, I’m so impressed by your singing national anthem of Korea at the medal ceremony. It’s awesome to hear it live after watching Queen Yuna’s absolulty gorgeous performances. (Yuna also said in her interview she was pleasantly surprised and very touched as it was first time to hear her national anthem live at the medal ceremony) I guess you practiced a lot . It was so beautiful. Thank you so much!

  11. Hi, Canadian Angels! I am a Korean of 55 years old. Here I am eager to express the BIGGEST THANKS, especially from my same ages living in Korea, I’ve heard that you had practiced hardly including understanding the meaning of the phrase. Hearing of “Hananim-ie bow-hasa woori-nara-manse” sung by you, it was the very breath-taking moment because you sang “GOD protects and blesses us to phrase our world of GOD (forever)” It reminds me of many Canadian missionaries who had showed ‘GOD’ to Korea 200 years ago and the present of my country where so many Christians including me are phraing the LORD. Thanks indeed, Amabile Choirs!
