Following in the footsteps of the Amabile Young Women’s Ensemble who sang national anthems for the gold medalists at the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships, March saw another outstanding anthem performance by the Amabile Choirs – this time a trio from the Amabile Boys Treble Concert Choir, sang the anthems of Taiwan, the USA and Canada to honour 100 years of Rotary, in a celebration of Community and Youth. Rotary International President Gary C.K. Huang, a native of Taiwan, presided over the London Rotary Club’s 100th Anniversary Gala Dinner, March 21st at the London Convention Center.
Following a performance that may have been responsible for a tear or two from President Huang and his wife Corrina, choristers Andrei Matusa, Max Comor and Nathan Glajch (pictured L to R) received special commemorative books on the history and culture of Taiwan from President Huang. Officials from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office congratulated the choristers for letter-perfect pronunciation.
Congratulations guys!
