Congratulations to Amabile co-founder Brenda Zadorsky for being inducted in the Don Wright Music Hall of Fame.

“A decade after Western, Zadorsky (BMus 1974, Dip Ed 1975) and a fellow music educator, the late John Barron, combined their triple trios to found what became the world-famous choral powerhouse Amabile Singers.
Among the countless triumphs for the Zadorsky-helmed Amabile Youth Singers and other Amabile choirs at home and abroad was the chance to sing national anthems at the 2013 world figure skating championships at Budweiser Gardens.
The London and area choristers were chosen by Skate Canada to perform the national anthems of the gold medalists in each of the four competition categories.
The choir also sang the Canadian, Russian and American anthems for the gold-medal winners in other competitions.
“Our singers act as ambassadors for London and Canada when they perform on tour around the world. These ladies have worked very hard in preparing to sing so many national anthems” said Zadorsky, artistic director and co-founder. “This was an unbelievable honour. We are truly delighted with the worldwide reaction to the anthems that we performed.”
With the voices, organization and commitment of Amabile, Zadorsky is one of those who have helped London be heard around the world.”
